Brigade Group’s flagship project Brigade Orchards, in Devanahalli, has now become Benguluru’s first ‘smart township’.

The project, by BCV Developers Pvt Ltd, is a joint venture of Brigade Enterprises Ltd with Classic Group & Valmark.

The 130-acre inte-grated
enclave, located just minutes away from the Kempegowda International Airport and a short drive from Hebbal, is designed to global best practices, and will have features that will make it the benchmark of how cities will be designed in the future.

There will be provision for a self-sustaining life with homes, a school, a hospital, a retail centre, offices and entertainment centres, along with over 80 acres of open space.

Homes shall come with automation options, intelligent security systems and apartments built with advanced European pre-cast technology.

Bicycles and electric vehicles will be provided for intra-township commuting and eco-friendly transport to nearby commercial hubs. Also, cycling tracks and charging points for electric vehicles are given to reduce the carbon footprint.

Rainwater harvesting system, water recycling, wastage prevention and water-efficient landscaping to conserve the water shall be installed.

Solar-powered LED street lights and intelligent
systems to monitor energy consumption and reduce wastage, too, shall be installed.
A centralised garbage management, wet waste composting, dry waste recycling and sewage treatment plants to ensure minimal waste discharge from the township are a given, too.

The smartest of all facilities are, perhaps, the provision for an ‘Orchards App’ and a smartcard for cashless transactions within the enclave, and presence of WiFi zones across the township.

Brigade Orchards has also launched new set of luxury
apartments that offer one, two and three  bedroom homes starting at Rs 28 lakh.
