Govt cautions on purchase of industrial plots

Last Updated 30 December 2014, 20:11 IST

The State government on Tuesday cautioned people against buying plots meant for industrial use and said that permission would not be given for land use conversion for such properties.

“No activity other than industrial is permitted on these plots. Change of land use is also not permitted in these industrial areas. The Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) reserves the right to take the land back if these conditions are violated,” an official press release stated.

Industrial areas are formed by the KIADB, by acquiring the land, under the provisions of Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Act for the specific purpose of carrying out industrial and allied activities. Industrial lands are allotted to entrepreneurs on certain terms and conditions, detailed in the lease-cum-sale deed and the final sale deed, the release added.
