One of the injured discharged from hospital

One of the three people injured in the Church Street bomb blast, Vinay, was discharged from the Hosmat Hospital on Tuesday.

According to the doctors at the hospital, his condition is near normal. Vinay, an IT professional from the City, was with his friends near the blast site and managed to escape with minimal injuries.

The condition of Sandeep, who was with Vinay, has improved but he might need another day’s hospitalisation, doctors added.

“Sandeep is able to walk and is on anti-biotics,” said Dr Ajit Benedict Royan, vice president, Hosmat Hospital who added that based on his condition he might be discharged on Wednesday.

Sandeep had to be operated upon as a shrapnel had pierced through his left leg near the knee joint.

Karthik, who was along with deceased Bhavani, was operated upon at Mallya Hospital on Monday. “He is able to talk to us. Doctors have said that he might be discharged in three days,” said Karthik’s friend Manikanthan.
