Artists join hands for social causes

The ongoing three-day art exhibition 'Solidarity Forever,' being held at the Rangoli Metro Art Centre on MG Road, seems to give art lovers some serious food for thought.

The works on display by Kabu MBII, Zero Bey and John Devaraj touches upon themes such as women empowerment, violence against children and women, poverty, etc.Devaraj, a City-based artist and founder of Bornfree Art School, said his travel experiences across the globe inspired his works.

Pointing towards one of his paintings that depicts a woman lying naked at a railway station, Devaraj said: “I had taken the picture of a woman who was lying naked at Kazra Railway Station in Uttar Pradesh. Later, I drew inspiration for one of my paintings from this photograph.”
