<p>A division bench comprising Chief Justice S R Bannurmath and Justice Thottathil B Radhakrishnan passed the interim order while admitting a petition filed by Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy challenging the government’s nod. <br /><br />The petitioner pointed out that the government in its October 14 order sanctioned registration of Islamic finance serving company by the KSIDC to provide financial services according to the Shariat laws. Swamy claimed that the proposed bank was against India’s secular credentials and banking norms. The court accepted the petition and ordered that notices be issued to the Centre, RBI and the KSIDC.</p>
