Cycle jatha to spread awareness

The jatha is organized by Odanadi, a non-governmental organisation working for the rehabilitation of women in distress, in this region. Mysore City Police Commissioner Dr S Parashivamurthy flagged off the jatha in front deputy commissioner’s office in the City.

Sara Harris and Paula Arab, both journalists hailing from United Kingdom and Canada respectively, Kari, a social worker from Maryland, Bart, a social worker working with autistic children from Belgium, Anke from Belgium, Deborah, a college student, Christina from USA and Crystal, are among the 12 foreign women who are part of this team.

They are planning to visit 75 villages in four districts. They will plant 50-100 saplings of fruit bearing plants in each village. Those saplings had been purchased from the Indian Institute of Horticulture.
