A ‘Kuchipudi’ recital by Ranjini Murthy and a ‘Bharatanatyam’ recital by Karishma Brinda Desai will be held on January 8 at Seva Sadan,  14th Cross, Malleswaram as part of the dance festival organised by World Dance Alliance, Karnataka Chapter. On January 9, a ‘Bharatanatyam’ recital by Viji Rao, and a ‘Kuchipudi’ by Bhavani Kanesamoorthy,

Kathakali legend Kalamandalam Gopi will perform at ECA Hall, Indiranagar on January 16,

‘Small Infinities’

Bangalore Little Theatre is staging Small Infinities, a play based on the life and works of Isaac Newton, written by Prof Alan Brody of Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The play is directed by Prakash Belawadi and the venue is MLR Convention Center, Brigade Millennium, J P Nagar, 7th Phase. The programme will be held on January 7, 8, 9 and 10. Our Theatre will present its latest production Naariyal Paani on January 9 and10 at Ranga Shankara. On January 9, the show will be held at 7.30 pm while on January 10, it will be held at 3.30 pm and 7.30 pm.

Food festival
Bruhat Bangalore Hotels Association is celebrating its 75th anniversary at the Palace Grounds on January 8, 9 and 10 with an Indian food festival. This will be inaugurated by H R Bharadwaj, the Governor and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on January 8, 5 pm. Golden Star Ganesh, Duniya Rashmi, along with Bollywood stars, Suniel Shetty and Sanjay Dutt will grace the occasion.

‘Old Jungle...’

The band Old Jungle Saying will perform live at Hard Rock Café, St Mark’s Road on January 7, 8.30 pm. The band members are Sandeep Madhavan (bass), Hemanth Diwakaran (guitar), Aditya Menon (vocals) and Gijsbert Ackermans (drums).

Hard Rain

The British Council has brought an exclusive exhibition, Hard Rain, to the City. Hard Rain is a project by eminent British photographer, author and environmental campaigner Mark Edwards. The exhibition will be on display at the Dr M H Mari Gowda Memorial Hall, Lalbagh from January 7 to 16.

Photo collection

Urban Solace presents a collection of photographs by Perry Menzies called Lighting Our Path at Art@Urban Solace, Annaswamy Mudaliar Road, Opposite Ulsoor Lake. The exhibition is on till January 15, from 11 am to 11 pm.
