Girl dies of cardiac arrest in school

A 10-year-old girl suffered a massive cardiac attack and died during playtime at her school in Kalahasti Nagar on Tuesday.

According to the police, Harshitha (in pic) was a class four student at Preethi English Medium Primary and High School. Her parents are garment factory employees.

Around 11.30 am, she accompanied her classmates to the playground for a physical training session.

She collapsed while playing and her classmates informed their teachers who rushed her to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her ‘brought dead’.

She had died of cardiac arrest, said the police.
Harshitha was undergoing medical treatment for heart ailments for the last couple of years in Jayadeva Hospital, said the police.

A case of unnatural death has been registered.


Worker found murdered
A 26-year-old employee of a private factory was found brutally murdered in the Bommasandra industrial area on Tuesday.

The jurisdictional Hebbagodi police have identified the victim as Syed Hussain, a native of Assam and resident of Bommasandra. He had been working in the factory for the past few of years and was living with his brother and father in a rented house.

The police said that on Monday, around 6.30 am, Hussain left for work and did not return home. Late in the night, his father tried reaching him on his mobile phone but in vain.
He thought he might be still at work and didn’t bother to call him again.

On Tuesday morning, the security guard who went to work found Hussain lying in a pool of blood on the factory premises. He informed the police who shifted the body for an
autopsy.

According to the police, the assailants had inflicted serious injuries on his hands and face.
His parents and colleagues are being questioned, they
said.
