Arkavathi row: DVS, Sriramulu blame CM Siddu

Continuing their tirade against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, regarding the alleged denotification of lands meant for Arkavathi Layout in Bengaluru, Union Minister for Law D V Sadananda Gowda and Ballari MP B Sriramulu, on Sunday, hinted at trouble brewing against Siddaramaiah.

Speaking to media during the ongoing Suttur Jatra, at Suttur in Nanjangud taluk in the district, Sadananda Gowda made a mockery of the chief minister saying, “He may be suffering from Arkavathi phobia even at sleep”.
Going by the recent behaviour of Siddaramaiah, it seems that he may have erred, said Gowda. He claimed: “I have not denotified any land during my tenure as chief minister for 11 months. I have been targeted with baseless allegations. Let the chief minister go through the related files. He is free to take legal action if I have committed any sin”.

Meanwhile, speaking to media at the sidelines of a party programme in Mysuru, Ballari MP B Sriramulu alleged that Congress government in the State was indulging in large scale corruption. “The BJP lodged a complaint with Governor Vajubai Vala regarding Arkavathi issue, only after examining the illegalities with the help of legal experts,” he said.

On the growing clamour for a Dalit CM in the Congress party, Sriramulu said, there is a divisive opinion among themselves. He declined to comment on his jailed friend and former BJP minister G Janardhan Reddy, who was recently granted bail in many cases.
‘Siddu is lost’

Former deputy chief minister R Ashoka, on Sunday, said, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is on a sticky wicket, in Mysuru, during the day.

Taunting Siddaramaiah as ‘dari thappida maga’ (one who is lost), Ashoka alleged that ‘Siddaramaiah — who grew up under the tutelage of stalwarts like J H Patel and Ramakrishna Hegde — has lost his way after joining the Congress party. “Amid this, there is a call for a Dalit chief minister within his party. It seems Siddaramaiah has to pay for his deeds. The BJP is neither making any attempt to destabilise the government nor misusing Raj Bhavan for the purpose,” Ashoka clarified.
