BJP politicising Arkavathi issue, says Siddu

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday charged the BJP with making efforts to politicise the issue of denotification of BDA land at Arkavathi Layout and reiterated that his government had so far not dropped an inch of land from the acquisition process.

Speaking to reporters after inaugurating the pulse polio programme, he said the BJP had failed to find a proper issue to take on the government. Hence the party had been trying to make an issue of the Arkavathi Layout. The BJP leaders have become jobless, he said. He said his government had not denotified even an inch of land. The BJP had been repeatedly raising the issue, and the media, too, had been writing about it repeatedly, he said.
