BJP leaders, B J Puttaswamy and Ashwathnarayana, on Monday submitted a set of documents to Raj Bhavan on the issue of allotment of ‘G’ category Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) site to V R Sudardhan, who has been recommended to the post of Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) chairman.

Ashwathnarayana said the party had accessed some more documents that clearly prove that Sudarshan filed false affidavit to get the site measuring 4,178 sq ft at HRBR Laylout, III block.

Besides, he illegally got the land use converted from residential to commercial. These documents were submitted to the Governor Vajubhai Vala’s office, he added. Sudarshan had filed the affidavit to the BDA declaring that neither any of his family members nor himself own site, despite his wife owning a plot allotted by NTI Housing Cooperative Society, he charged. The BJP has opposed the State recommendation to appoint chairman and members to KPSC and urged the Governor to reject the names. The Governor has asked the government to submit a vigilance report vetted by the Lokayukta on the names recommended.
