According to a press release, Dakshina Prantya Karyavaha of RSS Dr Prabhakar Bhat Kalladka will inaugurate the festival at 4.30 pm at A B Shetty Hall in Bunts Hostel.
Chairman of Federation of World Bunts Associations Ajit Kumar Rai Malady will be the chief guest on the occasion. MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik and Secretary of Mangalore Bunts Association Sunder Shetty will be the guests of honour. President of ISKCON, Bangalore, and President of the Akshaya 1Patra foundation Madhu Pandit Dasa will preside.
The rathayathra procession will be flagged off after an inaugural special puja at 5.30 pm from Bunts Hostel Circle and will conclude at the same venue at 8.30 pm passing through Jyothi Circle, Hampankatta Town Hall, G H S Road, P M Rao Road, K S Rao Road, Navbharath Circle and P V S Circle. This will be followed by grand Sankeerthan and Maha Mangala aarti. Dinner prasadam will be served for all.
Throughout the procession, there will be live Harinama Sankeerthan accompanied by various traditional music instruments. Public can participate by pulling the ratha, singing and dancing along the ratha route, the release added.
