Perfect for senior living

» Value Budget Housing Corporation (VBHC) is venturing  into the ‘senior living’ housing segment, in association with Vedaanta Senior Living. The company launched its first-ever senior living project at its existing project Vaibhava in Anekal near Electronic City, Bengaluru. 

The project comprises 92 units, which consists of several 1.5 BHK and two BHK, dedicated exclusively to the needs of senior citizens. 1.5 BHK is approximately 750 sq.ft. and two BHK is approximately 1,000 sq.ft. The flats will cost between Rs 29 lakh and Rs 40 lakh.

There couldn’t be a better timing for this partnership, especially keeping in mind the growing demand in this segment. Together, the two companies have carefully planned and designed these homes with ample support facilities exclusively for the elderly. Naturally, the duo is bridging the gap between the demand and supply of homes for senior living. 

The project is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for a hassle-free living, at affordable cost, for senior citizens. Each house is equipped with tablet-enabled services and an alarm system in case of emergency.

Each apartment will have round-edged corners with glow paint to enable night vision, ensuring their safety. Extra features, such as shower chairs, anti-skid tiles, grab-rails in the bathroom, along with no-steps/threshold area outside the bathroom, have been added in each house.

The project also includes a common dining hall, 24X7 paramedical and pharmaceutical facility, in-house staff for emergency care, housekeeping and home maintenance services, advanced security system and trained emergency evacuation system. The lifestyle at this community also comes with round-the-clock concierge, transport arrangements and advisory services. 

New technology for collaboration 

» Tekla company provides Tekla BIMsight - the BIM collaboration tool that enables the entire construction workflow to combine their models, check for conflicts and share information using the same easy-to-use BIM environment. This helps the project participants to identify and solve issues in the design phase, well before construction.

Also, 4D concrete technology enhances the quality of projects by reducing errors, thereby decreasing the project cost, improving reliability and overall time for project completion. Tekla develops model-based software products for the architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) market, for local government use and for power companies that provide users with state-of-the-art features and functionality for creating, analysing and changing model-based information. The collaboration tool keeps users  updated about the changes other project parties make. 

Tekla works with educational institutes worldwide to provide students with a firm foundation in the use of the most advanced software that helps in integrated project delivery.
