Actor Varun Dhawan, who is anxiously looking forward to the release of his new venture 'Badlapur', articulates that people compare him with superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and young Govinda.

However, the actor further stated that he wants to establish his own identity and carve a nice for himself in the industry.

He also doesn't deny the fact that the B-town legends Shah Rukh, Salman and Govinda did inspire him as he has seen these stars work while growing up.

The actor doesn't like to be compared to anyone and feels that all the actors work for the betterment of Indian films.

"People often compare me with Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and young Govinda. But I just want to be next me," said Varun.

After playing a lover boy in 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' and 'Student of the Year', Varun is now going to display his serious side in 'Badlapur'.

The actor hopes that 'Badlapur' is loved by the movie buffs and leaves cash registers ringing at the box-office.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, 'Badlapur' stars Varun Dhawan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Huma Qureshi, Yami Gautam, Divya Dutta and Radhika Apte in pivotal roles.

The movie is scheduled to release on Feb 20.
