Army recruitment rally gets under way

The Army Recruitment rally organised by Army Recruiting Office, Mangaluru commenced at the Udupi district stadium on Wednesday. 

Opportunity was given for the youth from all the districts to take part for the post of sainik clerk and store keeper technical. As a result, hundreds of youth had taken part. The physical fitness test was conducted.

The participants were asked to take part in 1.6 km race, fullups, zigzag walk and long jump. Those who were selected in the physical fitness test will undergo medical test on Thursday.  

As 7,000 youth are taking part in the recruitment rally, the district stadium was crowded. Youth were seen taking rest under trees at Bhujanga park, Muniyalu park.  SP K Annamalai flagged off the recruitment rally in the morning. Candidates had arrived from Vijayapura, Bagalkot, Kalaburgi, Dharwad, Hubbali, Belagavi, Haveri, Gadaga and Chitradurga.

Those who failed in the test were seen packing their bags to return to their native at the park and bus stands. A few aspirants were also seen taking a nap in the park before starting their journey to their native.
