JOIN USAccording to sources, the NH will be cut across to lay pipes of UGD at Kottara Chowki. Thereby the UGD from Kodical and other regions will be connected to the new wet well at Malemar. Officials of KUDCEMP, Superintendent of Police Dr A S Rao, Mangalore City Corporation Commissioner Dr Vijayaprakash and Executive Engineer Rajshekhar conducted a spot inspection at Kottara Chowki on Saturday.
Speaking to Deccan Herald, MCC Commissioner Dr Vijayaprakash said that the traffic from Mangalore to Udupi will be diverted on KPT - Kavoor - Kuloor route, while a temporary arrangement will be made for vehicles from Udupi to Mangalore through Kottara Chowki.
However, a final date of the commencement of the work will be announced only after the official meeting, he added.
