No matter how busy Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is, his commitment to spending quality time with his family and children seems unshakable.

The new chief minister once again made it known on Friday by saying that he would love to bring his family to a flower show he inaugurated.

“I would love to come and enjoy the garden festival with my family,” said Kejriwal soon after inaugurating the 28th Garden Festival here.

A relaxed looking Kejriwal, admitted that it was his first visit to the Garden Of Five Senses.

“Delhi has a rich cultural heritage and our government is doing its best to make the national capital a tourism hub,” he said.

More jobs can be created with an increase in tourism, Kejriwal said, asking his Tourism minister Jitender Singh Tomar to explore new ideas for promoting tourism in the city.

Tomar has been looking to create a tourism hub in the city which would offer water sports and other amusement facilities.

When Kejriwal was asked about the alleged commotion at the “Janata Durbar” at his Kaushambi residence in Ghaziabad and complaints of public that some people met him after breaking the queue, Kejriwal said he was trying to help everyone.

Kejriwal thanked the people for their support in the recent Delhi elections and claimed that since the government formation, corruption in the city had come down and the anti-corruption helpline had been energised.

The garden festival is an annual affair. The three-day event this year has the theme  ‘Landscaping with Hanging Plants’.

Apart from flower displays by horticulture departments of all civic agencies, the Delhi Tourism would also organise competitions under categories like kitchen garden and decorative flower art.
