Protest against BJP policies, Congress exhorts youth

Time for party to introspect, says General Secretary Arthanary

Youth play crucial role in strengthening of Congress in national-level. There is a need of continues agitation against corruption of BJP lead union government, Youth Congress National General Secretary Arthanary said.

After series of defeats in the assembly elections of many states, there is a need of introspection for the party. When Congress was in power in Centre, it tried to implement many pro- people projects, but BJP always opposed for different reasons.

But, now they are implementing same projects in different names, but people have understood it.

He stressed on attracting youth towards the party. Win and lose are common in politics and there is no point in getting frustrated. When people see another face of BJP, when they understand about corruptions and scams, they will definitely support Congress.

The workers should create awareness among people, he suggested.

District Congress President Dr D L Vijaykumar said BJP came to power by showing sky to people and now people have understood reality and they are angry about BJP leaders. The people have losing hope in BJP and looking at Congress.

There is great opportunity for youth in Congress to work under the guidance of seniors, he said. District General Secretary B M Sandeep said that all should join hands to strengthen the party from base-level.

Meanwhile, he said that there are allegations of corruption in taluk office, food and civil service office and many government offices. Congress will plan a protest against the corruption soon.

Udupi- Chikkamagaluru constituency President K V Shivkumar, National Secretary Ravindradas, State General Secretary Ajeez and others were present.
