Missing woman found murdered

According to police, she was murdered by her lover Francis D’Souza alias Sunil four months ago and the body was dumped in a well. The police have taken Francis into custody.

Despite herculean effort, the police had failed to crack the case. Following this, Reshma’s father William Pinto had filed a Habeas Corpus. Through the EMEI number of Reshma’s cell phone, police tracked calls on the cell and found out the current owner of the cellphone. The cell phone owner informed the police that he bought it from  a shop selling second hand cell phones at the Central Market in Mangalore.

On interrogation, Francis has confessed to killing her after Reshma threatened to inform their illegitimate relationship to his wife. The arrested confessed that in fit of rage he slapped Reshma as a result of which she fell unconscious. Later, Francis dumped the body in a nearby well. Reshma was married ten years ago and has two kids.      

2 Killed

A truck fell into a gorge near B C Road Circle, on National Highway (NH) 48,claiming the life a cleaner. The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Raju, a resident of Maggi, near Sakleshpur in Hassan district. The licensed driver Riyaz, a resident of Kushalanagar, near Sakleshpur, had brought his truck to Benjanapadav, to transport quarry stones.

In a separate incident, an unidentified person was killed when a vehicle hit her at Panambur Circle on Sunday night.
