The incident of two labourers sustaining serious injuries after a mud wall caved in on them when they were working on laying BWSSB’s underground pipes in Nagawara has come to light belatedly.
The injured are Manoj, 24, a native of West Bengal and Hussain, 28, a native of Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh. Manoj has suffered a cervical spine fracture and his right hand will be amputated. Hussain has suffered a femur fracture. His condition is said to be critical.
Severely injured
The two labourers were working at a depth of 10 feet near Elements Mall on February 24. While the earthmover was digging out the mud to rescue the workers, Manoj was injured severely in his right hand. They were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The Sampigehalli police have registered a case.
