JOIN USKannada Abhivruddhi Pradhikara will confer Kannada Madhyama Prashasthi on the students of Kerala and Goa, who have secured& highest marks in Kannada in SSLC in school level.
The authority has been felicitating the students with the award from the last two years in order to encourage students from these two states, who study in Kannada medium.
Three students in school level will be presented the award. The first, second and third prize contains Rs 8,000, Rs 7,000 and Rs 6,000 respectively, along with memento, certificate, wrist watch, school bag, Kannada-Kannada dictionary, Kannada-English dictionary and pen set.
During the last two years, 136 students from Kerala and 13 students from Goad, have been presented Kannada Madhyama award.
During 2014-15, 83 students from Kerala and 6 students from Goa have been awarded.
Award function at CMCThis time, the award function will be held at City Municipal Corporation Hall in Pilikunje in Kasargod on March 8 at 10.30 am.
Kasargod Member of the Legislative Assembly N A Nellikunje will inaugurate, Manjeshwar MLA P B Abdul Razak will preside over the programme, Karnataka Gadi Abhivruddi Pradhikara Chairman Subhash S Chayagol, Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy former Chairman Kasargod Chinna, Parthisubba Yakshagana Kalakshetra Chairman Jayaram Edaniru and Karnataka Janapada Parishat Chairman Keshav Prasad Nanittilu, Kerala Kannada Medium Teachers Association President Dr T D Subba Rao, Kannada Sahitya Parsihat President S V Bhat, Kasargod Karnataka Samithi President Muralidhara Ballakuraya, Goa Kannada Samaja Secretary Arun Kumar and Kasargod district BEO N Sadashiva Nayak will be present.
DDPI Gopalakrishna Bhat will confer the award.
Litterateur Dr Kalegowda Nagawara will speak on the occasion.
Kannada Abhivruddhi Pradhikara Chairman Dr L Hanumanthaiah will deliver the keynote address.
