Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) human rights cell president C M Dhananjaya, on Sunday, accused the BJP of misleading the people by spreading a canard over the Arkavathi Layout illegal denotification issue.

Addressing media in the city, Dhananjaya alleged that the BJP is creating a bad impression among the people about the State government led by Congress party.

Though the BJP is yet to lodge a complaint either with the Governor or the Justice Kempanna Commission, constituted by the government to probe into the complaints against Arkavathi issue, the party is creating an impression that it has approached them.

Dhananjaya said, there is no word on S Nataraj Sharma’s — who has lodged an individual complaint with the Commission — association with the BJP. There is no mention of the party even in the affidavit , he said.
