Rallies to choke City roads today, tomorrow

Central parts of Bengaluru, especially Majestic and surrounding areas, are likely to witness traffic jams for a few hours on Wednesday and Thursday morning due to various protest rallies.

Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha and Hasiru Sene will take out a procession from the City Railway Station at 10.30 am on Wednesday and proceed to Freedom Park. About 10,000 people are expected to participate in the rally.

On Thursday, about 4,000 members of the Karnataka Rajya Asha Workers Federation will march from the City Railway Station to Freedom Park demanding fulfillment of their demands.

The traffic police have requested commuters and road users to avoid roads around the City Railway Station, leading towards Freedom Park.

Vehicles will be diverted along the following routes on both days till normalcy is restored.

n Road users from Rajajinagar, Vijayanagar and Malleswaram travelling to other areas via the flyover at Anand Rao Circle have been requested to pass through Malleswaram Link Road and reach Seshadripuram. They could proceed towards Basaveshwara Circle and move further.

n Roads users from Magadi Road and Okalipuram Junction, moving towards various destinations via the flyover at Anand Rao Circle, should take a right turn at Magadi Road Hunusemara Junction and pass through Binny Mill, Sirsi Circle, City Market
and Town Hall and proceed further.

n Roads users from Basaveshwara Circle and Race Course Road taking the flyover at Anand Rao Circle should take a right turn at Basaveshwara Circle and move on Palace Road and K R Circle and proceed further.
