US-based Motorola on Tuesday launched its latest budget smartphone in India, priced at Rs. 6,999. The Moto E (Gen 2) smartphone will be available from Wednesday midnight on Flipkart, the company’s exclusive online retail partner.

Moto E (Gen 2) runs on Android’s latest Lollipop operating system and has a front-facing VGA camera for selfies with a slightly larger 4.5-inch display.

Motorola sells four handsets —- Moto E, Moto G, Moto X and Moto Turbo in India. It has already unveiled the second generation of Moto G and Moto X devices here.

It also introduced its smartwatch, Moto 360, in the country last year.
In January, Motorola said it crossed the three million device sales mark with the Moto E and Moto G making up almost 80 to 85 per cent of the sales.
