JOIN USThe court fixed January 18 as the next date of hearing even as the CBI took over the investigation into three fresh cases registered against Rathore.
The hearing was postponed to January 18 after CBI counsel told the court that the agency needed to study the material before stating its opposition to Rathore’s plea for anticipatory bail. The CBI took over the probe into three fresh FIRs against Rathore on Monday.
Besides seeking anticipatory bail in the three new cases, which include abetment to suicide and attempt to murder, Rathore is also seeking quashing of the fresh cases against him.
Justice Sabina who heard the bail plea did not grant bail against Rathore’s arrest till the next date of hearing. It means the CBI can arrest Rathore anytime as part of its investigations.
