Young Lions scored 162 for four in their 20 overs, with Gopinath Saandra’s 47 being the top score. Vultures, despite Prateeksh’s 54, ended their reply at 161 for eight. Manish Kumar picked up 3/32.
Batting first, United CC rode on Nihal’s ton, which included 11 fours and six maximums, to put up a strong total of 169 for two in the stipulated 20 overs. Sharath Srinivas also contributed an unbeaten 52. In reply, RVCE batsmen came a cropper and were bundled out for a paltry 58. Zeeshan Ali Sayyed (5/9) was the most successful bowler for the winners.
In another match, Nihal Ullal’s 104 off 64 balls was the feature of Bangalure United Cricket Club’s 111 drubbing of RVCE.
