Modi, top BJP leaders to attend party meet in B'luru

The top brass of BJP, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will descend on Bengaluru on April 2 to attend the party meetings.

The party’s national office-bearers’ meeting will be held on April 2 and the executive committee meeting will be held on April 3 and 4. BJP State media co-convener M H Sridhar said all the meetings would be held at Hotel Ashoka. Nearly 330 BJP leaders would attend the national executive committee meeting, while about two dozen leaders would attend the office-bearers’ meeting on the opening day, he added.

The meetings would mainly discuss the elections to be held in West Bengal and Bihar this year. In addition, the performance of the party’s government at the Centre would also be discussed.

From Karnataka, H N Ananth Kumar and D V Sadananda Gowda, B S Yeddyurappa, Jagadish Shettar, K S Eshwarappa, R Ashoka, Aravind Limbavali, Govind Karjol, C T Ravi and organising secretary Santosh will attend the executive committee meeting. Ananth Kumar and Yeddyurappa will also attend the office-bearers’ meeting.

The delegates will stay in Hotel Ashoka and other hotels nearby, Sridhar said. The party’s national executive committee meeting is being held in Bengaluru for the fourth time, he added. Modi is scheduled to address a public rally on April 3. But the time and venue are yet to be decided.
