Protest against high tension power line

Despite farmers staging protests against the laying of high tension line in South Kodagu for the last 47 days, the elected representatives have failed to visit them, said Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) State unit president Ravikrishna Reddy.

Speaking after taking part in the protest on Monday, he said that the project would benefit timber mafia, and that MP Prathap Simha should chalk out an alternative route to lay the high tension line.
The elected representatives should not support those projects that will destroy nature, and is anti-farmer, he said.
