JOIN USCondemning the dismissal of 11 employees of the Wellness Pipe Factory, at Gejjalagere, in Maddur taluk, members of CITU began an indefinite stir in front of the taluk office, in Maddur, on Monday.
Raising slogans against the factory management, CITU treasurer Devi said, the factory has dismissed 11 workers without citing any reasons, violating the Labour Act.
Compensation
The factory has cheated innocent farmers by not providing jobs to the family members who had given their lands for the construction of the factory. The indefinite protests would continue till the district administration intervenes and finds out a solution to the problem, they warned. Employees gathered in large numbers on the spot of protests and extended support to the CITU. Roadside Vendors Association president Ramu, labour leaders Pradeep and others were present.
