Palike will only receive Akrama-Sakrama applications

The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is working out the modalities on receiving applications under the Akrama-Sakrama scheme.

Following the High Court order which barred the BBMP from processing the applications seeking regularisation of building bylaw violations, the Palike has decided to accept applications and not process them.

Palike Commissioner M Lakshminarayana has already briefed the Council about it.
The Palike officials have been asked to start accepting the applications. It is learnt that the regularisation fee may also be accepted and even deposited in the Palike’s account. However, once the roadblock is cleared, the applications will be processed immediately.
