Ravi was upset by fake FB accounts in his name

Feared someone was doing 'illegal acts' in his guise

 A look into IAS officer D K Ravi’s posts on his Facebook page reve­als that he was upset about fake accounts being created in his name and misused.

While recent posts on the page are not accessible, the old ones reveal that he was disturbed by fake accounts created in his name.

One of the posts put up by Ravi states, “hello my dear fb friends..... today i came to know that some persons doing some thing wrong by opening fb account in my name ie D K RAVI and my picture, that amounts to impersonation. some person doing some unwanted and illegal act in my name and one such event is telling one of my friend to investigate the lost mobile and assist financially to purchase new mobile which, i never does in my life (sic).”

Ravi also requested his Facebook friends not to respond to anyone seeking help on the fake accounts created in his name. On December 1, 2014, he posted a status update, seeking pardon from all his friends for the “inconvenience” caused.

He then added, “Do not interact with such persons. i never ask any help over fb.” An earlier post reveals that Ravi was aware about the happenings and also had information on those posting updates and seeking information from the fake accounts. “i have verified the ip addresses and other details of such persons. Hereby, i am giving all such persons 24 hours time to delete such accounts. if they fail to delete will be booked criminal cases on such persons (sic),” he stated.

Ravi also posted updates on his batchmate Rohini Sindhuri Dasari’s appointment as a resource person following her performance in implementing the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in Mandya district where she is the Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Panchayat. The State government has claimed that Ravi and Dasari shared “more than a cordial relationship that exists among batchmates.”
