Four of family killed in accident

Four members of a family, including an eleven-month-old child, were killed when the car in which they were travelling was hit by a mini truck near Kharadya, on the outskirts of Nagamangala on Sunday.

H S Purushottam, 38, his wife B Shyamala, 31, brother H S Shridhar, 31 and another brother Raghu’s 11-month-old daughter Charvika are the dead.

Raghu’s wife Sunita, Shridhar’s wife Navya and Purushottam’s children Preetham and Pinku have been injured grievously and admitted at BGS Apollo Hospital in Mysore. The victims were residents of Aravind Nagar in Mysore.

They had been to offer puja at Adichunchanagiri kshetra in the taluk and were on their way to Mysore, when the accident occurred.
