Last Updated 08 April 2015, 19:13 IST

Levelling allegations of anti-party activities against Congress leader Amaravathy Chandrashekar, who is a staunch supporter of District in-charge Minister Ambarish, CMC President B Siddaraju, Councillor Anil Kumar and others submitted a memorandum to KPCC president G Parameshwar, in Bengaluru, recently.

The complaint alleges that Chandrashekar supports Congress party only when Ambarish is contesting the polls and campaigns for JD(S) otherwise.

They complained that Chandrashekar, who is also the treasurer of the district unit of the party, is misusing power and trying to cause dissidence among party members.

The members claimed that he had also met JD(S) State president H D Kumarswamy recently to make an agreement with him, without bringing it to the notice of either the Congress district unit or the KPCC, causing embarrassment to the party.

They have urged the KPCC president to expel Chandrashekar from the party. The KPCC president should gather information from the district and block level leaders and take necessary action, the complaint said.
