Sachin's daughter to run for charity

When the master batsman appears for India in the opening Test against Bangladesh starting at Chittagong on Sunday, his daughter will be running in the Dream Run to raise funds for “Apnalaya”, the NGO for challenged children with which Tendulkar is deeply involved.

“I think I will enjoy to be part of the Apnalaya team in the Dream Run. I wanted to take part for a long time but this is the first year that I am old enough to take part,” Sara said ahead of the event in which she will be among 38,000-odd runners.

Asked how has she prepared for the race, she said, “I play tennis thrice a week and do some fitness training at a club. I don’t have much time for Marathon practice with so many other school activities.”
