The Varthur police arrested two persons on charge of selling two Buddha idols made of ivory illegally. They recovered the two idols and a piece of stone.
According to the police, the suspects are S Mahadevaprassad, 46, and Prashanth Kumar, 27, both residents of Kanakapura. The police, acting on definite leads, arrested the two at Muthanallur Cross on Sarjapura Road.
