New court complex inaugurated at Yalandur

Should try to find early solution to disputes: Judge

High Court Judge N K Patil said, relief for the litigants is a part of court proceedings and law courts should become like temples of justice.

He was speaking during the inaugural function of the new building, which will house the courts of the Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate of First Class, here, on Saturday. High Court Judge and District Administrative Judge B Manohar inaugurated the building.

Patil said, Yalandur is famous for its culture and heritage. “It became popular due to Jainism, it is the birthplace of Dewan Purnaiah, an able administrator under both usurper Tipu Sultan and the Wadiyar kings. Revolutionary Sanchi Honamma is also from this place,” he said.
He said, both litigants and their advocates should try to find early solution to the cases by mediation.

State Bar Council President C M Jagadish said, the State government has released Rs 64 lakh for the establishment of four Law Academies in four divisions. “The quality of the works in the new court complex is inspiring. The funds, Rs 6.35 crore, spent on the building has not gone a waste,” he said.

District Sessions and Principal Judge Lakshman Fakirappa Malavalli, retired district judge V G Savadkar, Deputy Commissioner A M Kunjappa, Civil Judge H R Ravikumar, Tahsildar K Siddu, Bar Association president Siddaraju, vice-president M Raveesh, secretary R Rangaprasad and others were present.
