Actor-anchor-presenter Samir Kochhar has a lot to say about his current Bollywood project, ‘Mango Dreams’.

In the film, he plays the role of an NRI who wishes to take his ailing father to the US for treatment. But the father says that he wants to embark on a journey across various cities in India where he has travelled and spent a better part of his youth.

“It’s more like a film that revolves around a father’s and  son’s journey. There are also plenty of emotions involved. The events are narrated in a fictional way without
going overboard,” he explains.

The film is largely shot in and around Mumbai and Samir says that the true spirit of  Mumbai has been captured in the film.

Samir has been the commentator and anchor of ‘Extra Innings’ on Sony Max this IPL season and he says that he looks forward to hosting the IPL for its fun factor.

“I've been shuttling between matches for over a month and trying to spend time with my one-month-old son Kabir,” says Samir.

For him, the excitement of becoming a father is still sinking in and Samir says
that he  hardly gets time for his son.

“But going back to Kabir after a crazy day of work is something that I look forward to. I am still getting used to my new role as a father. But playing with the little one, rocking him to sleep and managing sleepless nights is all quite new but fun,” he adds.

Samir has a close circuit of friends in Bengaluru and he flies down pretty often to catch up with them.

“I really like the culture and vibe of the City and its people. Whenever I am in Bengaluru, I always make it a point to try as many new restaurants and pubs as possible,” he shares.

Samir is often asked why he has become too choosy with his projects. To this, he says, “I am not choosy, I pick only those projects that have something substantial to offer and I look out for performance-orientedcharacters.”
