Salman Khan resumes shooting in J&K

Just less than a week after his sentence to five years imprisonment was suspended by the Mumbai High Court, actor Salman Khan, resumed shooting of the final leg of his upcoming film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ here.

Salman, who reached Srinagar on Monday is on a schedule of five days to shoot in Kashmir.

Sources said on Wednesday that Khan will shoot in the hill resort of Sonamarg in north Kashmir. Salman, who was on a 40-day schedule in the Valley had left for Mumbai to attend the court case last week, leaving a 300-member crew waiting for him to return.

Director of ‘Bajrani Bhaijaan’ Kabir Khan announced Salman’s return on Twitter. “@BeingSalmanKhan is back in Kashmir… Last 5 days of shooting left for #BajrangiBhaijaan,” Kabir tweeted.

Salman is likely to shoot for the introductory song for the film, ‘Selfie song’. Remo D’Souza has choreographed the song while Pritam has composed the music.  

Produced by Sunil Lulla ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ stars Salman, Kareena Kapoor, Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead and is said to be the story of Bajrangi (Salman) and his relationship with a Pakistani girl who mistakenly crosses the Indo-Pak border and finds herself alone on the other side of the line.

Earlier on April 24, Salman had apparently fallen ill and was detected with ear infection and sinusitis.
