Techie killed, 10 injured in tempo traveller-car collision

A 26-year-old software engineer was killed and 10 passengers were injured when a tempo traveller collided with a car near the Vydehi Hospital on Whitefield Main Road in the early hours of Tuesday.

According to the police, the deceased is Varun, a resident of Electronics City.
He was on his way home when the accident occurred. 

The driver of the tempo
traveller, Manjunath, lost control over the vehicle and rammed into a car coming
in the opposite direction, the police said.

Due to the impact of the collision, Varun suffered from severe head injuries, while 10 other passengers suffered minor injuries. Passersby rushed the injured to a nearby private hospital.

Varun was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), while the others were treated as out patients. Varun did not respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries, said the police.
