<p> <br />Dhumal dismissed contents in a CD purportedly containing the voice of Dhumal as “fabricated” while Singh said the audio and videotape alleged showing a BJP MP accepting bribe have “highly compromised” the Chief Minister’s position.<br /><br />On his part, Dhumal ordered a CID probe into the issue. “I have asked the state CID to carry out a probe into the CDs to bring out the truth before the people,” Dhumal said, while denying the charge and dubbing the CDs as “fake and fabricated”.<br /><br />The probe will be carried out by Additional DGP, CID, I D Bhandari who has been asked to submit his report at the earliest. A packet containing two audio CDs and one video CD was sent to some newspaper offices on Tuesday.<br /><br />In one audio CD, Dhumal, who belongs to the BJP, is purportedly giving a “go ahead” to DGP (State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau) D S Manhas to tap phones of Singh and his wife Pratibha. Manhas said he would not like to comment on “rumours of a CD doing the rounds”.<br /><br />Singh had in the past alleged that his telephones were being tapped by the state authorities.</p>
