Former minister and sitting MLA Suresh Kumar, on Sunday, described Narendra Modi as ‘24x7 Prime Minister’.

Addressing media here, Suresh Kumar claimed, Modi has been working continuously without taking any leave from his office. “He is the only prime minister to have adopted that style of functioning and no doubt India will surge ahead of China in terms of development by the year 2020”, he said.

Modi has ensured total transparency in administration and has incorporated the same for the auctioning of coal blocks in the country. It has helped save Rs 2 lakh crore to the exchequer. He has succeeded in giving corruption-free governance, unlike the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government that accounts for corruption estimated at Rs 12 lakh crore in its decade-long rule.

Eulogising the performance of BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre, Suresh Kumar said, “India has expanded its influence across the globe especially after Modi ascended the seat of power. Most of the countries have been supporting India and it was evident with the recent declaration of celebrating International Yoga Day on June 21, that was endorsed by 90 countries. Modi undertook foreign tour for 45 days and it was not for recreation, he said.

Suresh Kumar said, the previous UPA government was mostly visible through advertisements. Now, there is a change in the government structure that is reaching all with concrete works. The government was quick to respond to Nepal that was devastated by earthquake on April 25, that claimed thousands of lives. The fishermen serving imprisonment in Sri Lanka jails were freed, while the Afghan government was helped to rescue a parish priest who was kidnapped by terrorists in that country.
