JOIN USIn a first of its kind effort, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) on Monday launched an in-house washing machine for buses.
The new bus washing machine was inaugurated by Rajender Kumar Kataria , Managing Director, KSRTC. The new machine has been installed at the Depot of Bangalore Central Division which operates 121 schedules with 128 Volvo buses.
Officials said in the past, only two brushes were used to wash vehicles whereas with the new machine has six brushes on each side and they will be used to improve quality of washing, with an additional exclusive brush fitted on the roof to wash the bus roof top. Soap oil will be sprayed automatically which enhances the quality of washing. Washing of one vehicle will take only seven minutes.
