'Harishchandrachi Factory' out of Oscars

“Harishchandrachi Factory” is Mumbai-based theatre actor-director Paresh Mokashi’s debut film that is on the making of “Raja Harishchandra”, India’s first full length feature film made in 1913 by Dadasaheb Phalke.

Nine films have been selected for the next round of voting for the 82nd Academy Awards. 65 films had originally qualified in the category.

The films competing for the next round are: Argentina’s  “El Secreto de Sus Ojos,”  Australia’s  “Samson & Delilah,” Bulgaria’s “The World Is Big and Salvation Lurks around the Corner,” France’s “Un Prophète,” Germany’s “The White Ribbon, Israel’s  “Ajami,” Kazakhstan’s , “Kelin,” The Netherlands’ “Winter in Wartime,” Peru’s  “The Milk of Sorrow”.
