JOIN USThe Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) resumed its bus services to Tamil Nadu on Tuesday afternoon. KSRTC cancelled all schedules to the neighbouring state on Monday night and the bus services were resumed around 2 pm on Tuesday.
While the bus schedules from KSRTC were cancelled as a precautionary measure after the state government decided to appeal against Jayalalitha's acquittal, the buses belonging to Tamil Nadu state corporation plied as usual. Consequently, commuters travelled in the Tamil Nadu buses in the absence of KSRTC services. KSRTC officials said that nearly 120-140 buses were cancelled till noon on Tuesday.
Officials said the loss of revenue on account of cancellation of buses will be known by Wednesday and those who had booked tickets in advance can claim refunds.
