Three attacked for intervening in fight

A woman, her son and his friend suffered injuries after a gang of about eight men attacked them for interventing in a road rage incident in Banashankari police limits on Wednesday.

The victims Savitha, her son Praful and his friend Sagar were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The suspects fled the spot after the attack.

A car collided with a bike on 8th Cross Banashankari near the BDA complex around 8 pm. The bike rider attempted to manhandle the car driver. Savitha, Praful and Sagar, who were on an evening walk in a nearby garden, intervened and tried to pacify the driver and the rider. Irked, the bike rider spoke to his friends on the phone and asked them to come to the spot, said the police. Within minutes, seven people arrived and picked a fight with the trio and  roughed them up, leaving them injured. They then fled the spot, the police said.
