Congress President Sonia Gandhi has summoned a meeting of its chief ministers and AICC general secretaries next week to discuss organisational matters including the elevation of Rahul Gandhi.
“A meeting of general secretaries and chief ministers has been called on June 9 to discuss organisational issues,” Congress sources said.
The meeting comes at a time when organisational elections are being held in the Congress which may see 44-year-old Rahul assume the post of party president.
