It seems Chief Minister Siddaramaiah thinks twice before accepting garlands at public functions, after a recent incident in Vidhana Soudha, where a garland fitted with LED lights was offered to him, raising questions about the security cover to the VVIP of the Stat


The chief minister, who was attending a programme organised by the Zilla Panchayat and Women and Child Development department, at Vijayanagar here, gestured in the negative when the office-bearers of Falcon Tyres Employees Union came to him with a huge garland, on the stage. Chamaraja MLA Vasu, who was addressing the gathering at that time, said the garland is fool-proof and hence can be accepted. The chief minister who was quick to respond, obliged by accepting the garland.
