Nature in all its glorious shades

Multitude of shades and variations of waxy yellows, cloud spot blues and tranquil greens were a sight to behold at Artiology – a group exhibition of paintings showcasing the work 10 talented artists. The exhibition was organised by Artsorama in association with Galaxy Hotel and the NGO, The Little Step.

Inaugurated by well known senior artists Aditya Singh and Sudha Rani Sharma the exhibition featured paintings portraying picturesque beauty of Mother Nature that left an indelible mark on the viewers. The paintings dwelt on the fact that human lives are inextricably intertwined with nature and how we’re constantly surrounded and interacting with its beauty. The canvases were executed in different mediums like acrylic paints, oils and charcoals and the use of earthly colours and elements was very significant in each piece.

“My three paintings focused on self-introspection and two aspects of the Universe and Beyond Illusion. As individuals, our minds and hearts are constantly churning with a million thoughts. I’ve portrayed the same in my canvas ‘Introspection’ using the body and hair in two distinct and harmonious set of colours,” Sudha Rani Sharma tells Metrolife.

“Nature is the biggest creator in the world -- it’s the purest form of beauty one can experience. As human beings, we as artists in our own ways and aspirations can turn the ordinary into the extraordinary. I try to play with these emotions and mix them with the Almighty’s precious nature,” says Aditya Dev,one of the senior artists exhibiting the paintings. His detailed paintings emotes a lot of feelings and emotions and has a soothing effect on the minds of the viewers.

Abhilasha Rauthan, a visitor says, “The juxtaposition of man and nature depicts exquisiteness and the enchanting grandeur in every canvas.”

As rightly said by Pablo Piccaso, “The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from spider’s web.” If you deeply enjoy and understand art then definitely catch their next exhibition in town.

Artiology was on show at Beanstalk, Galaxy Hotel, Gurgaon from June 10-16.
