Junior shooters return with rich haul from Plzen meet

A 24-member Indian junior shooting squad returned with a rich haul of two gold, five silver and two bronze medals from the 25th Meeting of the Shooting Hopes competition in Plzen, Czech Republic, reports PTI from New Delhi.

This is the International Shooting Sport Federation's (ISSF) premiere event for juniors, held from June 10 to 14. As many as 362 junior shooters from 20 countries participated in the event.


Achal Pratap Grewal won the individual gold in 25M pistol while in the team event for the same category, the trio of Samarjit Singh, Shivam Shukla and Arjun Das also struck gold.
Yashaswini Singh Deswal, Shreya Gawande and Gauri Sheoran and Akhil Sheoran returned with two medals each.
