Lahiri, Kapur to rub shoulders with golfing elite

For the first time, two Indians will be in action at the US Open, with Anirban Lahiri and Shiv Kapur joining the golfing elite at the Chambers Bay Course in University Place, Washington.

Lahiri is the current Asian Tour Order of Merit leader, having won twice at the start of the season in Malaysia and India to enjoy a comfortable advantage at the top of the money list in the continent.

Lahiri is making is US Open debut, having played in four Majors earlier. He is set to become the third Indian to have played all four Majors after Jeev Milkha Singh and Arjun Atwal.
Shiv Kapur, who came through the sectional qualifiers in England, will be playing his second successive US Open and his fourth Major.
